Claimed benefits & evidence

Claimed for anti aging, fat loss, recovery, and sleep. A 2006 study (Walker et al., JCEM) showed CJC-1295 with DAC raised GH and IGF-1 1.5-3-fold for several days. There is no peer reviewed long term human safety or efficacy data for chronic combination use, and no good evidence that raising GH/IGF-1 slows aging.

Safety & dangers

FDA has warned of immunogenicity (potential anaphylaxis) and, for CJC-1295, increased heart rate and a systemic vasodilatory reaction (flushing, warmth, transient hypotension). Theoretical cancer concern via IGF-1 elevation. Water retention, numbness/tingling.

Contraindications

Active malignancy; pregnancy; uncontrolled cardiovascular disease.

Regulatory status

Not FDA approved. Both placed in Category 2 (2023); nominations withdrawn Sept 2024; PCAC voted AGAINST 503A Bulks List inclusion (Ipamorelin Oct 29, 2024; CJC-1295 Dec 4, 2024). WADA prohibited (S2, both explicitly named).
