KPV, α MSH C terminal tripeptide
The C terminal tripeptide of α MSH, studied for anti inflammatory activity via NF-κB modulation, without the melanocortin or tanning effects of the parent hormone.
Mechanism of action
The anti inflammatory C terminal piece of α MSH, it calms NF-κB inflammatory signaling inside cells, without the tanning effects of the parent hormone.
Also studied
In mouse colitis models, oral KPV reduced inflammation and improved mucosal integrity via PepT1 mediated cellular uptake.
