Pinealon, Tripeptide bioregulator
A short chain tripeptide bioregulator (Glu-Asp-Arg) from the Khavinson program, studied for neuroprotection and a proposed, but under validated, direct gene promoter binding mechanism.
Mechanism of action
An ultrashort tripeptide bioregulator studied for protecting neurons, with a striking, under validated claim that it binds DNA directly to tune gene expression.
Also studied
In vitro, reduces reactive oxygen species and necrotic death in cerebellar granule cells, neutrophils, and PC12 cells.
See related compoundsThe most cited and least clinically validated claim: the ultrashort peptide is proposed to bind gene promoters directly (CASP3, APOE, SOD2).

Full profile
Marketed for neuroprotection, cognition, and circadian/sleep support. Carries the same single network limitation as Epitalon and BPC-157, essentially all evidence is from Khavinson's group. PubMed returns no completed peer reviewed RCTs; a Russian observational TBI study and rodent learning data exist. The DNA promoter binding mechanism is the most cited and least clinically validated part of the story.
No significant adverse effects in the thin (mostly preclinical/Russian) literature, but human safety is effectively uncharacterized, no PK, toxicology, or long term data. Theoretical concern of unknown off target gene effects.
Pregnancy; active malignancy (theoretical); anyone unable to verify product quality.
Not FDA approved; research use only / gray market. Often paired commercially with Epitalon as a 'Russian longevity stack.' WADA: S0.
Subcutaneous or intranasal, short courses. Oral bioavailability is very poor.
